Qualitech Environmental Services Ltd (QES) is pleased to announce that it has completed the Purchase of Various Assets including the Chemical Manufacturing Plant at Kirkby, Merseyside from Baker Hughes Ltd.
In addition to the asset purchase QES has also employed 27 former employees of Baker Hughes Ltd including, technical, operational and management staff with the intention of running the Kirkby site as a Toll Manufacturing Operation. QES has set up a new Chemical Manufacturing arm to its already expanding chemical services business portfolio that will trade under the name of “Qualichem”. Qualichem will run as a separate entity from QES with the former Baker Hughes Plant at Kirkby to fall under the Qualichem banner.
Qualichem is a provider of bespoke chemical solutions, offering bulk liquid storage, toll manufacturing, chemical processing, blending, solid and liquid repackaging and now operates across a number of locations:-
Kirkby: A state of the art toll chemical manufacturing facility with flexible
reaction and blending plants. The site has capacity to manufacture up to 60,000 tonnes of material each year. Whether you need a small batch or large-scale production, we have the expertise and resources to handle any project. Our team works closely with you to understand your needs and ensure that the final product meets or exceeds your expectations. Services include custom formulation, toll blending, private labelling, and packaging. We have experience working with a wide range of industries, including crude oil refining, agriculture, cleaning products, industrial chemicals, and more.
Ideally located close to major distribution networks for ease of distribution of the final product.
Hartlepool: A package chemical storage facility with a drumming line which can accept bulk tanker loads and repackage into containers from 25 litres to 1000 litres. The facility can store 10000 pallets within a secure storage compound. Qualichem offers repackaging of solids and liquids, chemical repackaging from bulk containers refers to the process of transferring chemicals from large bulk containers, such as tanks or totes, into smaller containers, typically drums or bags, for ease of storage, handling, and transportation.
Sandycroft: A bulk and packaged chemical handling facility with solids handling facilities offering powder blending, kibbling, sifting, particle size separation and milling, with pack sizes from 5kg to 1 tonne bags and bulk tankers, together with product repacking and reworking. Equipment includes Rotary Blenders, Rotex 3 Tier Sifters, Russel Finex Sieves, Screw Conveyors. Galley Samplers, Flomat bag feeders/blend plant, Ajax Lump Busters and an Alpine 250Z Pin Mill.
